Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information themobilefit collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain language and describes only what the service actually does. If anything is unclear, email info.themobilefit@gmail.com.

1. Who we are

themobilefit ("themobilefit", "we", "us") is operated by YUVARAJ HARIHARAN, an individual based in India. We are the "data fiduciary" for the personal data described here, in the language of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can reach us at info.themobilefit@gmail.com.

2. What the service does

themobilefit is a lookup tool for phone screen protector compatibility across the Normal Glass and UV Glass product lines. Anyone can search the catalogue without an account. Repair shops and retailers can sign in with Google to record which box or shelf each protector lives in at their shop. Those box numbers are private to that shop.

3. Information we collect

We collect different information depending on how you use the service.

When What Notes
Browsing the catalogue (no account) An anonymous search log: the text you searched, the product line filter, how many results appeared, and a random token that identifies the browser tab for the session. The token is generated in your browser, is not linked to you, and is discarded when the tab closes. We use the log to see which phone models people look for and cannot find.
Reporting a catalogue issue What you tell us about the problem: the brand and model, the model you believe it matches, any note you add, and the SKU you reported it against. If you choose to fill in the optional contact field, whatever phone number or email you enter. The contact field is optional and blank by default. We use it only to tell you when that report has been actioned, and to ask you about it if something is unclear — never for marketing. The report text is never sent to Google Analytics — only the fact that a report was sent, and which of the two kinds it was.
Any page (with or without an account) Usage analytics through Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics / Speed Insights: pages visited, searches and filters used, features used (for example saving a box), approximate location derived from your IP address (country or region), device and browser type, and page load timings. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) so it can recognise a returning browser. Analytics never receives your email, name, shop details, box numbers or notes; events carry only counts and product terms. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Vercel's tools set no cookies. We only see aggregated reports.
Signing in with Google Your Google account email address, display name and profile picture URL as shared by Google, plus an internal account identifier. We never receive or store your Google password. Google's own privacy policy governs your Google account.
Setting up your shop Shop name, owner name, phone number, city or area, and an optional address. Shop name, phone and city are required so we can identify and, if needed, contact the shop.
Using the box feature The box or shelf number and optional note you save against each catalogue item, with the time you saved it. Please do not put personal information about other people in notes.
Technical Your browser's local storage holds your sign-in session so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies. The only cookies are the Google Analytics ones described above.

4. How we use it

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

When you choose "Continue with Google" and create a shop, you consent to us processing the information in section 3 for the purposes in section 4. This is the "specified purpose" for which consent is given under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your shop (section 9); the service then stops processing your personal data, except where we must keep a record for legal reasons.

Browsing the catalogue without an account does not involve personal data that identifies you.

These providers operate data centres in several countries, so your data may be stored or processed outside India. We choose providers with recognised security practices and contractual commitments to protect data.

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is enforced by row-level security rules so that each shop can read and change only its own records, and administrative access is limited to an allowlist of accounts. Sign-in is handled by Google and Supabase; we never hold passwords. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

11. Children

themobilefit is a tool for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will show a notice in the app the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
